JES Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week: Celebrate Our Super Heroes!

Join us March 23-27 to “Celebrate our JES Super Heroes”. March 23-27 is Staff Appreciation week this year at JES. We have so many fun and exciting things planned for our teachers and we need your help to pull it off! Below is a schedule of the week’s events and your mission, if you accept it!
Monday– The TAP committee is hosting a Super Hero lunch. Staff will be enjoying HERO sandwiches from Subway, chips, dessert and drinks.
Tuesday– Breakfast for our Super Heroes in the Staff lounge hosted by the Hospitality Committee. If you cook a yummy breakfast casserole or have a favorite bagel place, we need you! Your child will be bringing home a “Why you are a Super Hero” flyer between now and Monday, 3/16. Please have them write why they think their teacher is a Super Hero and return this form to school no later than Tuesday, 3/24. Your room parents will be using these flyers to decorate your teachers classroom door.
Wednesday– POPcorn Bar in the Staff lounge hosted by the TAP committee. The PTA will be delivering a thank you gift during the day to all of our Super Heroes.
Thursday– Every Super Hero Needs Vital Tools. Please send in a school supply for your teacher. It can be a fun box of colored paper clips, markers, a note pad, even just a single pencil. Help us supply our Super Heroes with the vital tools they need!
Friday– Wear your favorite Super Hero shirt! “Tribute to Our JES Heroes” luncheon hosted by the Hospitality Committee. Lunch will be served in two shifts, 11:30-12:30 and 12:00-1:00. We need parents to help provide coverage so our staff can attend this luncheon. It will be one hour only. Second grade teachers are at specials during the luncheon, so the 2nd grade parents will be covering specials. We also need one extra cafe volunteer for first shift only. If you can’t volunteer to cover shift lunch shifts, but are great in the kitchen, we can use your help too! The Hospitality committee needs appetizers and desserts for the luncheon. And last but definitely not least, if you aren’t a baker or can’t come in to volunteer at the luncheon, we STILL can find a fun job for you. We need volunteers to help decorate the staff lounge, lobby and hallway on Friday, 3/20. We are going to start in the lounge at 3:30 pm and try to get finished with the lobby once the students have left for the day. We also need volunteers to blow up balloons and hang up outdoor signs on Monday, 3/23 before school starts. The more volunteers we have, the faster we get it all finished! Thank you so much for all of your help! We are so lucky at JES to have such amazing teachers and staff that love their jobs and our kids too. The TAP committee is so excited for all these events and appreciate any time you can offer.
